Dubai signs cooperation with Maharishi University of Management

AUE signs accords with Maharishi University of Management

Dubai: The American University in the Emirates (AUE) signed an educational collaboration with Maharishi University of Management, officials announced recently.

The Dubai International Academic City institution signed the agreement with Maharishi University of Management-Iowa, said AUE president and Chief Executive Dr Muthanna Abdul Razzaq.

The university has an 80 per cent UAE national student population. Abdul Razzak said he was excited about students going on exchange programmes in September this year. "We have a plan to do this. This will increase skills and experience of students.

"We want them to study in different environments so that they have some outside experience at a global level."

Mohammad Saleh Bin Bedwa Al Darmaki, chairman of the Board of Trustees at AUE and vice-chairman Khalaf Al Qubaisi said the collaborations will ensure an exchange of experiences, develop academic programmes, conduct scientific research, have student and faculty exchanges, and organise conferences, workshops, and other activities which will enhance the university's programmes.

Al Qubaisi said it was crucial to sign partnership agreements. "This will definitely raise the name of AUE to be in the lead of licensed universities in the UAE."
