Film to Premier at Maharishi Peace Palace of Hannover, Germany, Thursday 10 November 2011, 8 pm

Iconic filmmaker David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, INLAND EMPIRE) is featured in a unique new film entitled “Meditation Creativity Peace: Documentary of a 16-Country Tour,” which chronicles his travels throughout Europe, Israel and Brazil in 2007. During this tour he spoke to tens of thousands of college students about his practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique, his creative and artistic processes, and the ultimate goal of the David Lynch Foundation: to create peace in the world through meditation.

The documentary will premier at the Maharishi Peace Palace in Hannover on 10 November 2011, 8 pm. Tickets are available at 0800-MAHARISHI. There will be no admission charge.

The 68-minute narrative is drawn from hundreds of hours of filmed question-and-answer sessions with college students and the general public, along with press interviews, at film schools in Jerusalem, London, Dublin, Tallinn (Estonia), Helsinki, Rome, Vienna, Berlin, Lisbon, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and dozens of others cities.

The tour was organized by the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace (www.DavidLynchFoundation.org), a nonprofit organization Lynch established in 2005 to bring the stress-reducing, creativity-enhancing Transcendental Meditation technique to at-risk populations. In the past six years the Foundation has provided scholarships for meditation instruction for nearly 200,000 inner-city school students, veterans with post-traumatic stress, incarcerated adults and teens, and homeless adults and children throughout the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

The documentary was shot by film students in the countries on David’s tour as well as by a camera crew from David Lynch Foundation Television (www.DLF.tv).
