Celebrating 50 years of Transcendental Meditation in Germany

The Global Country of World Peace in Germany recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the country.
A four-day Golden Jubilee celebration was held at the Maharishi Peace Palace in Hannover, hosted by Raja Emanuel Schiffgens, Raja of Invincible Germany for the Global Country of World Peace.
Over 150 Yogic Flyers and Teachers and practitioners of Transcendental Meditation from all over Germany attended the celebrations from 10 to 13 September.
In celebration and appreciation of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's tireless work for 50 years, guests raised the Flag of Invincibility, and enjoyed group practice of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, daily banquets and Maharishi Gandharva Veda music concerts, fireworks, and a boat ride.
Fifty years ago, on 12 September 1960, Maharishi gave his first national press conference in Germany to announce his plan to bring enlightenment to every individual, and invincible peace, prosperity, health, and happiness to the nation—and to all other nations of the world.
Freedom and unity dawned for Germany under the peaceful, harmonious, coherence-creating influence of Maharishi's programmes, Raja Emanuel noted.*
The press conference followed Maharishi's 10-city tour of Germany, said Raja Emanuel. Maharishi spoke to large audiences in each city, inspiring many hundreds of people to learn the technique everywhere he travelled.
Several guests at the celebration had been among those who learned Transcendental Meditation from Maharishi 50 years ago, and they were honoured at the Golden Jubilee.
