Dr John Hagelin gives deep insights into the Constitution of the Universe and the 'secret of prevention-oriented government'

In the weekly Global News Conference on 7 February, Dr John Hagelin, Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace, gave a beautiful explanation of the Constitution of the Universe from the perspective of modern science and its applied value in Maharishi's Vedic Science of Administration.

Dr Hagelin explained that the flawless, eternal principles of Nature's government of the universe have now been scientifically derived and can be practically applied for the flawless administration of individual life and the life of entire nations.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Science of Administration of Natural Law is founded on the most profound scientific understanding of Natural Law and the discovery of the Unified Field, a single universal field of Nature's Intelligence at the basis of all forms and phenemona in the universe—the fountainhead from where all the different elementary particles and forces of nature emerge and guide the evolution of the entire cosmos.

The Unified Field, or Superstring Field in the language of modern theoretical physics, is the most comprehensive and powerful understanding of the universe. It is the understanding and discovery of the Constitution of the Universe, Dr Hagelin said.

'Constitution by definition means the foundational aspect of the laws of nature,' said Dr Hagelin, 'the most fundamental level of Natural Law upon which all the other laws of nature are based and from which they sequentially emerge.'

Just as the constitution of any country is the foundation of national life, the Constitution of the Universe is the foundational level of Natural Law, Dr Hagelin explained.

'The science of the holistic value of total Natural law provides a practical foundation for a whole new science of governance, Maharishi's Vedic Science of Administration,' Dr Hagelin said.

Until now, the governance of countries has been based on national, man-made, humanly conceived constitutions, Dr Hagelin said, which have been based on extremely fragmented, partial knowledge of the laws of nature governing the universe and subject to human error.

'In every generation when nations have been formed, they have been founded upon the deepest understanding of the principles of governance available at that time,' said Dr Hagelin. 'In the past, these principles have been based on an extremely primitive understanding of the laws of nature, based on the superficial discoveries of classical physics.'

'With the discovery of this one universal, abstract field of Nature's organizing intelligence, the Unified Field, the Constitution of the Universe, now the whole field of political science can and must be rewritten so that the governance of nations can be based upon knowledge, the complete knowledge and understanding of the flawless government of nature.

'Now such governance is possible and easy,' Dr Hagelin said, 'through Maharishi's Vedic Science of Administration, which is administration through Natural Law founded upon the Constitution of the Universe.'

Dr Hagelin explained that this Vedic Science of Administration works on the basis of spontaneous governance of life to be mistake-free, problem-free, fully in accord with Natural Law—just as Nature's own activity is mistake-free, problem-free governance of the universe.

'All life's complex ecosystems and all the evolution of the ever-expanding, galactic universe is all completely, spontaneously effortless and problem-free, all in accordance with the Principle of Least Action,' Dr Hagelin said, '—the most comprehensive law of nature which establishes that whatever nature performs or achieves is done with utmost efficiency and economy. Nature's government is perfect.'
