Reflections on the US Election result by the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace
Speaking from Maharishi Vedic City on 5 November Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace and President of Maharishi University of Management, said that he had specifically come to the United States on the national election day to be in the midst of the Invincible America Assembly.
On 3 November he had arrived at the Global Financial Capital of New York and spent time with the Raja of Invincible America, Raja John Hagelin, a world-renowned quantum physicist, Executive Director of the International Center for Invincible Defense in New York City, USA, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace. 'We really can be very glad that we have such a powerful and successful leader unfolding invincibility on the national scale and in every city and township of the nation through the introduction of the programmes and techniques of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to the fortunate people of America,' Dr Morris said.
Dr Morris noted that President-elect Barack Obama had spent time in Fairfield, Iowa, right at the beginning of his campaign two years ago and formed a friendship with the town's Mayor. In the last days before the election and during his acceptance speech, Mr Obama said that his campaign didn't begin in Washington, it began in Iowa, 'in the backyards of Des Moines in Iowa'.
'Somehow Iowa was that place that buoyed him up to take him through over the course of 20 months to the moment now when he is President-elect of the United States,' said Dr Morris.
Dr Morris reported that during his daily morning conference call with the Invincible America Assembly, one course participant said she had woken up that morning feeling 'a cloud of darkness had lifted from the country, and she had woken up in a different country'. Another participant felt that it was no longer just sunlight pouring into the building where the course is held, but a new kind of light—'an unveiling of darkness had occurred, and a new light was pouring into the building and into the nation'.
