Need terrorism defence? Try yogic flying
By CP
LETHBRIDGE, Alta. -- A global meditation group says it can curb terrorism by training 600 Canadians at "invincibility schools" in the art of yogic flying.
The Global Country of World Peace, which is part of the transcendental meditation movement, wants to establish the schools in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa and eventually hopes to expand into every province.
Neil Paterson, who represents the organization in Canada, said the schools would teach basic and advanced techniques of transcendental meditation and the Veda, the body of knowledge from the most ancient Hindu scriptures that contains the total understanding of natural law.
"From this practice they will neutralize any criminal, destructive or negative tendencies," Paterson said in a telephone interview from Holland.
